1. Q: Do you steam clean or chemical clean carpet, and which is better?

    A: We steam clean. The leading carpet manufacturers recommend steam cleaning over chemical cleaning because the water used is heated to 180 F, killing bacteria and completely loosening and disintegrating dirt and other particles that may be found in the carpet. Our Bane-Clene deep steam cleaning system also extracts the water from the floor as we clean. In chemical cleaning, many times the chemicals used will wick back up to the top of the carpet and settle on top of the carpet fibers as a white powder. This is most visibly seen in the crevice where carpet meets wall.

2. Q: How long  will it take for the carpet to dry?

    A: Allow between 3 and 4 hours for the carpet to fully dry after steam cleaning, though it is alright to walk on it before 3 - 4 hours after cleaning. The carpet may dry sooner depending on the air circulation in the room. Opening windows and turning on ceiling fans will expedite drying time.

3. Q: How long will it take before I can walk on the hardwood floor?

    A: Allow at least 1 full hour for the polyurethane to dry before walking on the floor.

4. Q: How often should I get my carpets cleaned?

    A: It is recommended that people have their carpets cleaned once every  6 months.

5. Q: Do I need to move any furniture?

    A: No, you do not need to move any furniture. We move  and secure furniture with protecting pads. We do not move very heavy items such as large screen TVs.

6. Q: Do you accept credit cards?

     A: We do not accept credit cards, but we do accept checks, cash, and invoice.

7. Q: How long have you been in business?

    A: All Clean Floor Care has been in operation at its current location in Newark, DE since 2002. We have been in the industry since 1981, giving us over twenty years experience.

8. Q: Do you use "recycled water" (water extracted from previously cleaned carpets)?

    A: No, we do not use "recycled water." After each carpet cleaning job, the water that collects in our receiving tank (a separate tank from the one that delivers water to the floor in cleaning) is not clean, so we dispose of it, and refill the "cleaning water" tank with fresh water for the next job.

9. Q: How long will it take to clean the carpet?

    A: It can take anywhere from between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the number of  rooms being cleaned.

10. Q: How many floor care technicians can I expect to arrive?

      A: There are usually three technicians who will come out to clean. On larger jobs, there is a fourth technician.

11. Q: Do you clean car interiors?

      A: Yes, we do steam clean or "detail" vehicle interiors, and yacht interiors.

12. Q: What is the cost to have one room carpet cleaned?

      A. The average single room cost for carpet is typically around $38. It may be a little less or more than this depending on the size of the room. We will measure the room when we arrive.
